The Matrix Resurrections
I watched the new Matrix movie yesterday, and while it was not the same feeling as the first ones, and only 5.8 on IMDb, it still works the magic. And still has a profound message for the human race. We are still stuck in the Matrix, still not able to break free – still not in control of our minds, even though we think we are. My test is always this: can you stop thinking for 10 minutes? 1 minute? 30 seconds? Well, try, and if you fail, you are part of the rest of us stuck in “The Matrix”. Unplugging from the Matrix is what we need to do – but just like Neo, and then Trinity, we need to actually realize that we ARE plugged into The Matrix – and take the steps to unplug, of our own free will. This we can achieve by awareness of our thoughts, being the “Watcher in the background”, observing all the things spinning around inside our heads. Then we can take steps to breaking free, taking back control of our minds, instead of being controlled by it. Most people are just not aware they are plugged in, because they are happy enough to live in a make believe existence, created by ourselves and others (the “machines”/politicians, those pulling the strings).
Unplug. But like we saw in this last Matrix movie, even those who break free can unknowingly be plugged back in. So once you’ve broken free, stay alert, don’t get sucked back into to the Matrix, don’t let your thoughts take over your life again, question authority when things don’t make sense, and think for yourself. You will notice some of the warning signs: arguments, anger, frustrations, negative thoughts, rules and regulations that don’t make sense, and other “irregularities”. When you notice these signs – snap out of the Matrix, back to the real world.
Breaking free is easier when you are in love, feel love – so if you are lucky enough to be in love, take the opportunity to break free and fly into the sky, like Neo and Trinity : )
Enjoy the movie!
