New Age thinking and Spirituality does not have to be at odds with science, technology and progress – what Zen Buddhists refer to as enlightenment may in fact be what we are trying to achieve with AI and what Tech Nerds refer to as the singularity – when technology will change life as we know it. Perhaps the technological singularity is the same as spiritual enlightenment, but via scientific methods – reverse engineering of the brain so we understand it 100%, and can fix all the current “bugs” (negative thinking, emotions running wild, depression, greed, jealousy, etc)?
